The Saskatchewan Water Security Agency has indicated that there is a very high potential for flooding in the Valley for Spring 2013. In the April 8, 2013 Spring Runoff Predictions Report, the Agency has indicated that the predicted 2013 peak for Pasqua & Echo Lakes is 480.8m while in 2011 the peak was 480.98m. The 2013 peak waters are forecasted to last days as opposed to 2011 when it went on for weeks.
Residents are advised to start preparing for this event.
The predictions may change and the Water Security Agency will update their estimates whenever possible. Please check the Agency's website regularly.
